Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Answers and screens a variety of telephone calls, using discretion and tact to handle accordingly.
- Acts as a liaison between the periop departments including informed delays, on time starts, etc.
- Assists with completing payroll
- Arranges, types and disseminates minutes of multiple committee meetings.
- Reviews, make changes as necessary, and submitsdaily billing/charging for patient profiles. This includes reviewing/correcting case record data, anesthesia times and recovery times.
- Review data fields and correct errors entered for all case records.
- Inform Nurse Manager of critical documentation errors.
- Reviews intraoperative billing to assure all products used have been appropriately charged.
- Review charges for all case records and make corrections as necessary to produce an accurate bill.
- Completes case records and posts in Epic.
- Transmits charges within 24 hours of the case finish.
- Participate in introduction of new products into the OR in relation to billing.Provides administrative support to the Nurse Managers of Surgical Services, OR Business Manager and OR Clinical Coordinator.
- Orders, distributes and maintains appropriate office supply stock levels for all Surgical Service Departments.
- Maintains and updates active files for management.
- Enforces vendor compliance with Reptrax.
- Works with scheduling and Clinical Coordinator in assisting of operating room schedule including booking add on procedures, contacting vendors for equipment needs, etc.
- Works with the Clinical Coordinator when coordinating scheduling concerns
