Scheduled hours: 40 hours/week 5p-3a

  • Your unit orientation will be a total of 18 weeks, with flexibility based on individual needs. The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, and in order to ensure your success, you will have multiple opportunities to check in with educators and your nurse manager to assist you during this process. You will be assigned a preceptor who will help to orient and guide your practice in the Beverly ED. You will not be expected to work holidays during your orientation period.

Each class includes focused information on each body process accompanied by interactive exercises, documentation tips, and case study scenarios to bring the learning to life. You will also have the opportunity to work with other members of the care team during simulation, as our doctors work alongside our newly graduated RNs to model closed-loop communication and effective strategies for teamwork in a critical-care situation.
