Under the direction of the BILH Director, Finance and Productivity, the Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis support for financial and operational initiatives and for measuring the financial impact to the organization. The Financial Analyst will work with system and hospital leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and will contribute strategies to promote their success. A major component of the job responsibilities is assisting with various weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to: 
1)    Assist in the development and analysis of productivity reports for the entities throughout the system. 
2)    Analyze financial and operating results compared to projection and budget, investigate variances, and communicate findings to management team.
3)    Consolidate entity reports for system leadership. Review to identify trends worth noting.
4)    Conduct financial analysis in support of facility and system services department plans.
5)    Provide support in developing strategic recommendations to aid decision making by senior management.
6)    Assist in the development of financial and strategic presentation materials associated with monthly/quarterly management, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors meetings.
7)    Provide routine reporting on various key performance and financial indicators.
8)    Assist department VPs/directors/managers in the preparation of finance and operational performance information. 
9)    Create and update financial dashboards and prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
10)    Assist Director, Finance and Productivity with special projects and other duties as needed.

•    Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department


Minimum Qualifications: 
Education:
•    Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent education and experience


Licensure, Certification & Registration:
•    None


Experience:
•    2 to 5 years of progressively increasing experience in Healthcare Finance.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
1.    Excellent analytic and verbal skills
2.    Self-motivated and dynamic individual with the ability to think creatively and work independently
3.    Ability to manage multiple priorities
4.    Ability to summarize and present results of analyses clearly and concisely to leadership
5.    Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel
