About the job

Lahey believes that the nurse-patient relationship, continuity of care, and personal accountability are central to the delivery of individualized high-quality patient care. Our exceptional nurses provide extraordinary care to our patients.

We are seeking experienced nurses for our Coronary Care Unit (CCU)/Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The CCU/ICU is a 16-bed acute critical care area that cares for critically ill patients with life-threatening illnesses including various shock states, cardiac disorders, post-cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and hepato-renal failure. The CCU/ICU nurses are a highly trained team that specializes in the provision of life-saving measures and the management of patients requiring mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella, VA & VV ECMO), ventilatory support, CVVH, and EKOS. The nursing team works collaboratively with the Pulmonary Critical Care and Cardiology teaching services, along with respiratory therapy and other disciplines to provide cutting-edge treatments and high-quality patient care. The ICU/CCU values and exhibits teamwork, collegiality, and advocacy for our patients and each other.  There are opportunities at the unit and organization level where you have an effective voice regarding professional practice as well as care provision.  Self-scheduling, every third weekend, and holiday rotation are available.
