Position Summary:
In addition to the duties of a staff physical or occupational therapist, the Clinical Team Leader is primarily responsible for improving clinical excellence of the staff and providing the staff with clinical team leadership. The three major areas of responsibility are: orientation/coaching for clinical excellence, coordination of the peer chart review process and oversight of journal club. The clinical team leader actively participates in the department’s performance improvement initiatives and provides feedback regarding staff performance in the areas of responsibility to the site manager. The Clinical Team Leader also plays an active role in ensuring ongoing annual competency of the clinical staff. This individual provides oversight of daily operations in the absence of the site manager.
It is recognized that the time commitment to perform these additional duties will vary depending on staffing trends but should average 12 hours per week.
Education/Experience
College graduate with a minimum of a BS in a rehabilitation field (MS preferred) with 3-5 years of clinical experience. Prior supervisory or teaching experience preferred.
Certification/License: Current Massachusetts license in respective field. BCLS
