Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides Respiratory care to all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adult and geriatrics. The successful candidate will be responsible for  providing all modes of respiratory therapy using therapist driven protocols, along with arterial blood gas collection and analysis.  The candidate will also be responsible for  Critical Care of the adult patient, using the ABCDE protocol for weaning ventilator patients, V60 BiPAP machines, Bronchoscopy assists and emergency airway management. You will be working in a Level II SCN providing Bubble CPAP and short term vent management.  Along with inpatient therapy, the Respiratory Department provides services to the Emergency Department, Inpatient Psychiatric floor and outpatient services.

Qualifications

Education:

Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy

Licensure/Certification:

Massachusetts License

CRT/RRT preferred

Current BLS

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of PC’s

Ability to impart specialized clinical and medical information to members of the healthcare team

Able to work independently
