We are looking for you to join our team at BayRidge. BayRidge is our 64 bed Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital located in Lynn, MA! Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and responsibilities in collaboration with other nursing staff. Works effectively and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to enhance the smooth delivery of quality nursing care
Requirements:
Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required.
License eligible in related field(SW, LMHC, MFT. License preferred but not required.
Essential job responsibilities:
Assumes responsibility for the clinical management of assigned patients.Conduct biopsychosocialand diagnosticassessments to appropriatelydetermine patient needs and plan of care.Provides both individual andgroup based therapy for patients with various presenting problems and diagnoses.Collaborates with other clinical staff and community providers to ensure that safe and therapeutic treatment isprovided for all patients.Supports the partial hospitalization mission in such a manner that there is strong and positive commitment toquality patient care.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities
Carry a clinical caseload andmaintain the required productivity level per theDirector of Ambulatory Services
Maintainappropriate records and consistently complete documentation requirements
Completeaccurate diagnostic assessments,as well as develop andmaintain treatment plans that are goal oriented and time limited
Regularly provideappropriate individual, group, and crisis intervention treatment for patient with various presenting problems and mental health diagnoses
Assess crisis or emergency situations and interveneimmediately withappropriate clinical treatment for patients
Attend all treatment team meetings and work collaboratively with other team members
Attend allappropriate clinical and administrative departmental meetings
Support and implement administrative decisions in collaboration with treatment team and the Director of Ambulatory Services
Work with insurance to obtain approval for servicesprovided
Utilize and/orprovide supervision to enhance professional improvement and development
Maintain solid understanding of and follow regulatory agencies’ expectations and guidelines (i.e. DMH, DPH, JCAHO, payors, etc.).
Participate in any ongoing quality improvement studies that will have positive patient care outcomes.
Consistently promote professional working relationships between the hospital, referral sources and payors.
Maintain solid understanding of and follow regulatory agencies’ expectations and guidelines (i.e. DMH, DPH, JCAHO, payors, etc.).
Maintain understanding of managed care contracts, insurance benefits, limitations, policies,procedures and forms.
Maintain yearly/biyearly requirements of CPR, Risk Management and Aggression Management.
Perform other duties as assigned
