Performs and produces high quality exams on patients of all ages.
Provides optimal patient and family communications with follow thru in presenting case to radiologist in accurate and timely manner. Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures and collimation.

Job Description:

Ideal candidate is willing to train in mammography.

Provide high quality radiographic services to patients of all ages. Assures that imaging is performed in an accurate, safe and timely manner. Delivers exemplary service to patients, families, physicians and co-workers. In addition to the general imaging modalities is responsible for providing examination expertise in at least one of the following modalities CT, Mammography or MRI.

Performs and produces high-quality exams on patients of all ages including portable and C-ARM procedures in the OR. Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures, and collimation. Assures that professional care is provided. Utilizes Meditech to complete all necessary paperwork, edits exams as necessary. Reviews Images in PACS to and follows procedures to prepare a study for interpretation.

Demonstrates knowledge of safety in the workplace to prevent accidents/injuries. Practices radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self.

Assists radiologist with exams and with administration of contrast agents to patients of all ages, following department protocol.

Performs related duties, assists others as needed for the smooth operation of the department. Assists with cloud PACS medical imaging sharing. Assists with burning and uploading CDs. Cleans equipment after every patient. Stays motivated to keep patients cared for in a timely manner. All work areas are kept stocked and organized.

Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Provides optimal patient and family communications with follow-thru in presenting case to radiologist in accurate and timely manner.

Demonstrates safe operation and functionality of imaging equipment and devices and uses efficient use of resources. Reports any equipment concerns immediately to Clinical Manager.

Performs related duties, assists others as needed for the smooth operation of the department. Assists in image release requests as necessary.

Demonstrates working knowledge of infection control practices for patient, self and staff.

Maintains professional competencies, educational requirements and the required annual updates from human resources. Provides Clinical Manager with current CEUs.

Helps to supervise Radiologic Technology students.

Performs basic protocols in other modalities as required.

Oversee students as needed and provides clinical advice to Radiology clerical staff as needed.

Minimum Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and specialized training in additional modality(s).

Required Licenses
[Massachusetts, United StatesRadiologic Technologist and Technician
Massachusetts Radiologic License (R).

Must have ARRT registration in any second modality (CT, M, Nuclear Med). AHA Heartsaver or BCLS required.
