40hpw; Day shift; 10:30am to 7:00pm; Rotating weekends and holidays

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operates cash register and is responsible for cashier station.
  • Fills out register reading forms, reconciles cash and charge readings and reports discrepancy to manager.
  • Maintains menu board; shows daily specials and prices clearly.
  • Assists in serving, preparing, stocking and cleaning cafeteria line, equipment and tables.
  • Greets employees, staff, visitors and patients in a courteous manner; responds with positive interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains a neat, orderly work area.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Hospital will train.

  • Ability to read, write and have math skills to make change and run register.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
