The BILHPN Project Manager manages several moderately complex projects simultaneously by utilizing the tools, techniques and methodology of professional project management fundamentals to meet the current and anticipated needs of the organization. Achieves performance improvement in Population Health and value-based contracts by preparing and executing action plans and collaborating with multiple stakeholders within BILHPN, risk units, hospitals, providers, and leadership teams. Holds project participants accountable for deliverables, manages all project milestones to specified timeframes. This position champions ways of continuously driving performance improvement and transformational change within the organization.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to: 

  • Develops and documents project plans, deadlines, and milestones in conjunction with the ACMO, other members of the Clinical Excellence Division, BILHPN colleagues, risk unit leaders and members as needed.

  • Schedules, prepares for, and attends project tracking and monitoring meetings as required; documents next steps and follows up with key project team members to ensure follow through. 

  • Collaborates with Physician Organization, Risk Unit, and/or practice leadership and team members to drive performance on Population Health and value-based contracts.

  • Continually monitors and reports on progress of the projects to all stakeholders presenting reports with project progress, problems and solutions.

  • Utilizes data to inform decisions about processes.

  • Creates visually understandable graphics and reports through proficient use of Excel, Tableau, Powerpoint and/or other tools to translate performance data from the Arcadia datawarehouse, Performance Analytics, the EHRs and/or operational metrics into actionable reporting; as requested.

  • Performs literature and/or online research for published Best Practice examples from other organizations; as requested.

  • Supports key meetings including, but not limited to, Medical Management and Policy Committee and Population Health Advisory Committee by collaborating with key presenters, preparing agendas, staffing the meeting, tracking attendance, and taking minutes; as requested.

  • Maintains a performance and improvement culture. Be an impactful change agent. Take initiative to reach out and drive changes.

  • Manages small to medium scope organizational projects and initiatives.

Organizational Requirements:

**Maintain strict adherence to all BILH and BILHPN Policies.

**Maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and providers and stake holders.

**Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.

**Demonstrate a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to customer service standards.

**Participate in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities. 

**Participate in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.

**Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Organizational Management, Quality, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

Training in Improvement Methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, or others)

Experience:

3-5 years experience in healthcare process improvement and health operations implementation experience preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

● Strong analytical skills.

● Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

● Strong proven leadership, project management, and execution skills.

● Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Demonstrated change agent, self-starter and team player.

● Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

● Capable of leading the charge through creative thinking. Comfortable challenging the status quo while able to work diplomatically to keep stakeholders engaged.

● Understands context of assignments and tasks and able to be flexible and adaptable to changing roles & priorities.
