The Senior Clinical Physiologist is responsible for independently conducting exercise treadmill testing, stress echo, pharmacologic stress testing and CPET, under the general supervision of a cardiologist. This role also serves as a key resource for clinical staff, providing guidance on clinical matters and supporting the daily operations of the exercise laboratory.

Primary Responsibilities:
In addition to performing all duties of a Clinical Physiologist II:
- Assist in the daily operations of the exercise lab and acts as the primary clinical resource for clinical physiologists and technologists, providing guidance on testing protocols and urgent clinical findings. (essential)
 - Collaborates with cardiologists and other referring providers to ensure testing is appropriate, timely, and clinically relevant. (essential)
 - Review the daily schedule and reallocates staff to ensure adequate coverage based on inpatient and urgent exam demand and staffing needs. (essential)
 - Assist in the training and education of staff, students and cardiology fellows. (essential)
 - Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff; provide input into performance evaluations and competency assessments. (essential)
 - Troubleshoot in the event of technical issues with machines. Contact appropriate service vendors. (essential)
 - Maintain supplies for all campuses. Completes code cart and med checks as needed. (essential)
 
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Exercise Science, Allied Health Sciences or equivalent.
 - ACLS and BLS certifications
 - 5+ years of relevant work experience
 - Knowledgeable in exercise physiology with an understanding of principles and techniques of clinical exercise testing.
 - Knowledgeable in pathophysiology of heart disease and new information and current trends in clinical cardiovascular physiology. Knowledgeable in general human physiology and pathophysiology.
 - Knowledge of pharmacy as it relates to cardiac medications and the potential effects on exercise/pharmacologic testing.
 - Experience with computer systems required, including EMR/OMR, stress

Social/Environmental Requirements:
Work requires close attention to tasks for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the workday do not compromise the work.
Work routine is consistent, but employees need to be able to use judgment to respond to events several times a week.

Pay Range:
$33.08 – $44.51
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
