Job Description:
Shift: Per Diem
The position is as a practice nurse – working collaboratively with a busy adult hematology-oncology MD group and navigating patients through their oncology journey. Active participation in patient consultation, minor office procedures and patient education; attend weekly tumor board conferences, cancer committee membership and other department level committees. Phone triage, prior authorization and coordination of patient appointments from office to infusion to home care. Oversee other members of the team in daily practice activities. Requires excellent communication skills and clinical expertise.
Clinical Specialty:

Maintains current ONS Chemotherapy provider card.

OCN certification after 1 year in oncology clinic required (requirements re: experience and hours worked set by ONS).

Demonstrates clinical competence in handling and administration of chemotherapeutic and biotherapeutic agents.

Demonstrates competency in the assessment, triage and of the adult oncology population.

Clinical competence in the use and maintenance of various central line access devices (ex: VAD, PICC).

Participation in ongoing clinical education throughout the year to obtain and maintain knowledge surrounding therapeutics, treatment options and regimens.

Minimum Education

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Pay Range:
$35.85 – $77.82
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
