The Program Manager for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that transform care delivery at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Building upon a recently launched DEI@Lahey framework, we aim to dismantle barriers to equitable health outcomes and attract, retain, and develop diverse talent. This role will report to the Executive Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging with a dotted line to the President and collaborates across all of Lahey to drive cultural transformation, enhance the work environment, and foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the President and Executive Director, co-create and execute a comprehensive DEIB strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and values.

  • Manage DEI programs and initiatives to drive diversity and inclusion throughout Lahey.

  • Continue to grow, develop, and assess DEI@Lahey.

  • Design and implement learning opportunities related to DEI.

  • Serve as project manager for DEI programs and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with leadership to set measurable DEI objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collect and analyze data related to workforce demographics, trends, and other relevant metrics.

  • Support the development and manage employee resource groups (ERGs).

  • Foster a sense of belonging and engagement for colleagues across all of Lahey.

  • Promote DEI initiatives throughout Lahey, including hosting events, internal communications, and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships

  • Familiarity with the use of equitable and inclusive pedagogy.

  • An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism and their impact on historically underserved and underrepresented communities.

  • Experience with diversity, equity, inclusion and belongingmodels of possibility, policies, and regulations.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to drive change.
