Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital and member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health network serving the greater Cambridge, Massachusetts area is seeking a full time Director of the Hospitalist Medicine Service. Mount Auburn Hospital cares for a diverse mix of suburban and urban patients and is characterized by an exceptional and collegial working environment.
Job responsibilities will include providing inpatient care at Mount Auburn Hospital. Hospitalist services include but are not limited to the care of medically complex patients in general medicine, subspecialty medicine, oncology, and internal medicine consultation. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE Internal Medicine physician with excellent clinical skills, commitment to teaching, and leadership skills preferably within a Hospitalist Medicine group. Important skill sets in clinical operations and staffing, strategic planning, team building, change management, quality improvement, coding, and budget management are strongly preferred. The candidate will engage with teaching Harvard Medical Students and residents in the inpatient setting. The physician selected for this role will be eligible for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
