Day (United States of America)The Desktop Virtualization Engineer is responsible for the design, build and operational support of multiple virtual infrastructures across BILH, providing highly available secure access to published applications and desktop for over 25,000 users.Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the design, implementation and operation support of XenServer and NetScaler components to include monitoring, system upgrades and performance optimizations. (essential)
2. Responsible for all Citrix and non-Citrix NetScaler load-balancing to include requirements discovery, design proposals and implementation. (essential)
3. Responsible for the design and implementation of Global Service Load Balancing for systems spanning multiple data centers. (essential)
4. Actively participates in requirements gathering and design for the virtual environment, to include capacity and growth planning, as well as storage allocations and needs. (essential)
5. Responsible for XenServer pool designs, builds and upgrades. (essential)
6. Advises on Citrix policy configurations, Citrix related group policies and desktop receiver configurations to ensure a stable, secure and consistent end user experience (essential)
7. As the XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer Subject Matter Expert provides support escalation, technical guidance and mentoring of team members (essential)
Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. 8-10 years related work experience required.
3. Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Citrix Certified Professional - App Delivery and Security
2. Citrix Certified Expert - App Delivery and Security
