Under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Sr. Payroll Assistant will perform functions related to processing payroll for weekly and
monthly employees. Duties will include calculations of time entry' of weekly and monthly payroll data. Duties will also include inspection of
validation reports, payroll systems processing generating and preparing reports as needed, answering phone inquiries and other general
payroll functions required in the payroll office. The Sr. Payroll Assistant will train less experienced payroll assistants as needed. The Sr.
Payroll Assistant in addition will be responsible for balancing quarterly and year end taxes. In addition this person would serve as the lead
person in the manager's absence.

Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To calculate and perform date entry into the Time Collection systems for Timesheets, Timecards, and/ or ANOS accurately, efficiently and
timely according to the deadlines required for processing weekly and monthly payroll.
• Ensure receipt of timesheets and timecards from all departments.
• Calculate hours for all earnings codes and all time reporting.
• Use the Time Collection control panels as a control to ensures accuracy in date entry.
• Perform date entry into Time Collection systems and check accuracy against control panel.
2. To prepare and process input of weekly and monthly employees payroll date for systems processing including but not limited to employee
tax changes, deductions, garnishments, TSA's, direct deposits, credit unions savings bonds and other deductions as necessary. To perform
these functions accurately and within the payroll processing deadlines for weekly and monthly payroll processing.
3. Prepare online checks as neede daccording to the payroll guidelines.
4. To run, review, and correct weekly and monthly validation edits accurately and timely according to the payroll deadlines for processing.
5. To run, review and correct weekly and monthly validation edits accurately and timely according to the payroll deadlines for processing.
6. To prepare and distribute for monthly and weekly and payroll deductions such as insurances, tax payments, credit union deductions and
others as needed accurately and timely according to payroll department guidelines.
7. To prepare quarterly and year end taxes.
8. To prepare weekly and monthly payroll checks and direct deposit vouchers and timecards and timesheets for distribution accurately and
timely according to the deadlines distribution.
9. To perform other payroll functions as deemed necessary by the Payroll Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned, or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department/unit.

Minimum Qualifications:
1, Education: Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience.
2. Licensure, Certification, Registration:
3. Skills: Excellent data entry and 10 key adding skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and
Excellent customer service skills.
4. Experience: Requires 3-5 years payroll or related experience.
5. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Peoplesoft date entry skills
