Job Description:

  • Schedule: FT, M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm (hybrid option)

As a member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILH BS) Program Management Office, the Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, scheduling, analytics and other tactical aspects of projects in partnership the Director of Innovation and Strategic Planning and Project Manager. This position will support BILH BS’ implementing strategic initiatives and large scale projects, which directly impact and improve patient/client access to care and provider satisfaction and retention. The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project management activities, resources, equipment and information. The Program Coordinator assists Leadership with strategic initiatives and daily operations.

Essential Functions/Key responsibilities:

  • Participates in medium to large scope organization projects and initiatives. Types of projects include the integration of behavioral health in all employed primary care practices, the expansion of a call center for the centralization of all behavioral health beds, and support with the implementation of strategic initiatives identified in the agency strategic plan. Other system level initiatives as requested from leadership teams.

  • Partners with legacy institutions and divisional leadership to review BILH strategic initiates and key performance results.

  • Oversees all project management activities, resources, equipment and information.

  • Maintains and monitor project plans, budgets and expenditures and other tactical activities. Including project action items, issues and risk logs.

  • Creates and maintains project documentation (repository), plans and reports. 6. Conducts quality assurance testing to ensure standards and requirements are met.

  • Tracks and monitors project risks and issues via logs and provide solutions where applicable to minimize risks/issues. Reports and escalates to the Directors and key stakeholders, as needed.

  • Manages and ensures all project deadlines are met. Organizes, attends and participates in stakeholder meetings.

  • Performs complex, specialized support on strategic projects requiring independent judgement and a detailed knowledge of the programs and services provided by the agencies(s).

  • Actively removes any boundaries to create an environment that promotes and encourages team working across all functions.

Qualifications/Educaton:

  • Bachelor’s degree; or associates degrees plus a minimum of five years related experience. Preferred area of study: Business, Healthcare, Organizational Management, or Quality.

  • Project Management training or certification, desired, but not required

  • 1-2 years’ experience in healthcare process improvement and health operations implementation experience preferred. Experience in behavioral health, desired, but not required.
