Under general supervision of the onsite physicians, reporting to the Clinic Nurse Manager, in conjunction with operations supervisor, provide direct patient care in the areas of cosmetics and aesthetic services.

Job Description:

No holidays, weekends or overnights

Clinic is open until 6:00PM some days, so must be available to work until that time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Function

1. Direct patient care, including schedule, medical records, ambulatory orders, documenting and closing

encounters. Confirms patient appointments and performs chart reviews to prepare for clinic.

2. Perform HydraFacial, facial peels, microdermabrasion treatments and make-up applications on patients. Skin

care consults and product sales as needed.

3. Instructs patients for current and future treatments. Gives appropriate preparations and patient education.

4. Assist with special projects as directed.

5. Assist physicians with patient consults regarding skin care

6. Assists co-workers and cross trains in all areas where needed and performs a variety of other duties

7. Provides high quality customer service and enlists superior communications skills when interfacing with

patients, physicians and others.

8. Answers all telephone inquiries and questions regarding the skin care treatments, program, and other

services. Documents patient instructions provided and understanding.

9. Processes all patient product orders either by mail or in person.

10. Responsible for ordering, stocking and keeping inventory of current skin care products. Meets with product representatives as needed. Receive product sales payments and complete end of day payment processing.

11. Ensures exam rooms, supplies and equipment are maintained/stocked. Prepares equipment and packages to

be sent for sterilization following site protocol. Maintains appropriate supplies and linen. Monitors expiration

dates and rotates inventory. Prepares, cleans and maintains equipment, addressing issues in a timely manner to

ensure availability of equipment. Cleans and prepares the exam room and other patient areas between patients.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Massachusetts’s State Aesthetician

Licensure Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Performs comprehensive facial esthetic services. an understanding of surgical and laser procedures, evaluate skin care products and ingredients, and practice pre- and post-operative care routines.

Proficient in standard office procedures and operation of business machines, (pc, fax, telephone, Dictaphone, others as appropriate).

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; organizational skills and attention to detail.

In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.

Experience: Minimum 1200 hours in course practicum and/or one year experience
