Day (United States of America) Coordinates the total nursing care plans for patients in outpatient/ambulatory medical specialties. Works with the Program Director to provide supervision and training of other nurses and staff within the department.

Essential Role Responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Works under the direction of the Program Director and Medical Director to oversee, manage, and train nurses and other staff within the department.
· Ensures that staff adhere to the departmental Standards of Care as well as Northeast Hospitals’ Policies and Procedures.
· Serves as clinical resource in delivery of patient care
· Promotes collaboration among staff, medical and administrative colleagues
· Promotes learning and team building environment
· Educates patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
· Communicates with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding care
· Conducts departmental in-services for continuing education.
· Assesses the patient’s condition; sets goals; prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
· Coordinates and/or performs physician ordered patient care following established guidelines and algorhythms.
· Directs and evaluates nursing care provided by others to patients in the Center.
· Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients.
· Attends departmental meetings and participates in hospital committees as requested.
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Education/Experience:
· BSN required.
· Minimum of 2 years management experience
Certification/License:
· Current R.N. license; BSN required
· Current B.L.S.
