Position Function:

Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians and synthesizes information related to the patients' medical problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
Requires Associate Degree in Science/Cardiac Sonography or certificate in cardiac sonography
Licensure/Certifications:
Active ARDMS RDCS registration required
BLS/CPR Certification required
Minimum Experience:
2-3 years' experience required
Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology either through college level courses in biology and anatomy and/or relevant acquired experience
Other Skills Required:

Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
Ability to rely on experience, judgment and time management skills to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff, ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; to set priorities and solve problems; to respond quickly to emergency requests
