The Director of Finance develops and manages the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Pharmacy Inc. annual operating and capital budget processes. Responsible for all financial related activities including accounting, cash management, financial reporting, financial analysis and planning, and revenue cycle. Provides direct financial oversight for approximately $330M in revenue and $183M in expenses in FY21 and expected to provide oversite and guidance to achieve rapid growth. Indirect responsibility for managing system wide Pharmacy budgets ($1.5B in revenue). Plays a key role in developing financial strategy working with the BILH Vice President of Operations and BILH Chief Pharmacy Officer to grow business and reach goals set by the BILH Pharmacy Inc. Board of Directors

Job Description:

Direct management and development of the BILH Pharmacy Inc. Budget, $263M in annual revenue, with indirect oversight of Department of Pharmacy budgets across the system. Total Revenue management across system $1.5B. Prompt and accurate compilation and distribution of BILH Pharmacy Inc. corporate statements on a monthly basis. Meets with relevant individuals to review BILH Pharmacy Inc. financial performance, discuss budget variances and provide analysis. Consolidate financial statements of various Pharmacy Departments across system to be presented to Chief Pharmacy Officer and BILH Pharmacy, Inc. Board of Directors. Develops business cases for all investments with a clear focus on ROI. Develops tools, such as KPIs and Productivity Reporting to help drive business decisions and make improvements in financial performance. Oversees requisitions, procurements, and AP for all non-drug related purchases. Ensures AP reconciliations are completed monthly. Key contact for any vendor related issues and ensuring vendor compliance with AP requirements and controls. Elaborates and implements all revenue cycle policies and procedures related to cash management and reporting. Develops and implements financial policies in collaboration with other entities as needed. Creates and maintains AR dashboards to drive cash into organization as quickly as possible and decrease days in AR. Develops position control system and ongoing position control management to ensure hiring and compensation controls are in place. Current company FTEs 135 with expected growth. Directs all Finance, Revenue cycle and Accounting Staff within BILH Pharmacy, Inc. Provides leadership, guidance and oversight of these positions. Completes performance reviews providing direction for professional development and initiate corrective action as required. Develops, implements and monitors all financial controls for BILH Pharmacy, Inc. Annual review and updates as necessary of all policies and procedures. Works directly with internal and external auditors. Ensures that proper controls are in place to meet all accounting standards. (essential) Prepares financial projections, summaries reports and other financial planning documents including business plans and compensation plans to support the businesses rapid growth projections.
