Night (United States of America)JOB SUMMARY:Working under the direction of a nurse, the Clinical Associate contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing basic procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients. This clinical staff position will have an impact on quality of care and patient satisfaction by providing for their physical and emotional needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for a Seasonal CA role, you must be able to fulfill "ALL" of the following requirements:
To apply for the position, you must be a local nursing student in your sophomore or junior year.
Ability to work full-time (32-40 hrs/week). This includes alternating weekends.
Availability to work during the Summer AND College breaks.
Must be able to work one (1) major holiday in the summer and one (1) during winter breaks.
Ability to work 12-hour "Night" shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors, and fellow members of the hospital team
Education/Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Preferred:
- Certified Nursing Assistant or a nursing student with completion of two (2) clinical rotations or equivalent education or one (1) year of clinical care experience
Other Skills/Knowledge:
Preferred:
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and procedures
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant
LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
On-call: N/A
Schedule requirements: May be required to stay beyond shift based on patient needs.
Travel requirements: N/A
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/or Designee
- Works under the direction of a nurse
- Does not supervise others
