The Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy Instructor will administer group cognitive behavioral therapy to teens enrolled in a randomized clinical trial. Group sessions (55 minutes in length) will be held weekly, in-person on Saturday mornings and virtually on one weekday evening (30 minutes in length). The Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy Instructor will receive training and supervision from several licensed Clinical Psychologists. As this is a research study, the sessions will be audio or video recorded. This study is funded by the National Institute of Health.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Administer manualized cognitive behavioral therapy for teens

Prepare for weekly cognitive behavioral therapy groups

Co-facilitate weekly cognitive behavioral therapy groups

Monitor group dynamics and cross talk

Watch for signs of clinical deterioration

Consult with the principal investigator as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Masters degree in Psychology required.

1-2 years of experience in a therapeutic setting with adolescents required.

Experience running group interventions required.

Experience delivering cognitive behavioral therapy is required.

Must be able to sit in an in-person group for 55 minutes.

Must be fluent in English.

Clinical decision making – must be able to make determinations as to appropriate content to be shared in groups.

Independence – must be able to facilitate a group on their own, if needed.

Knowledge – must demonstrate good understanding of the therapeutic principles behind cognitive behavioral therapy, and the scientific rationale for randomized clinical trials and adherence to a manual.

Teamwork – must be able to work with another facilitator to run groups together and demonstrate mutual respect.

Oral communication – must be able to communicate complex ideas to adolescents in a group setting.

Pay Range:
$50.00 – $75.00
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
