Under the managerial oversight of the Director or Manager of Revenue Integrity, the Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst serves as a primary point of contact for Service Line Directors, Managers, Finance Directors, clinical support staff, Physicians, allied health care providers, hospital colleagues, and others regarding matters that relate to aspects of professional and hospital revenue charge capture and other matters pertaining to professional and hospital revenue cycle and modality-specific billing processes and/or workflows. The Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for educating providers, clinical colleagues, and other members of their assigned modality-specific revenue cycle teams regarding accurate professional and facility billing and revenue capture while adhering to CMS and third-party payer regulations. The Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for assisting in the implementation of new revenue capture procedure records within the hospital chargemaster (CDM) and the development of workflows to ensure timely and accurate capture of all Beth Israel Lahey Health System revenue. The Senior revenue integrity analyst seeks to improve workflow, efficiency, accuracy, reimbursement, compliance, and overall revenue cycle billing through operational and system enhancements and/or modifications. The Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. (BILH) is maximizing accurate gross revenue capture to ensure maximum net revenue reimbursement is attained, sustained, and supported via clinical documentation.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to: 
1.    This position is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supporting the implementation and support of the BILH Electronic Health Record (EHR). 
2.    Serve as the senior point of contact with clinical areas that are the primary users of the information system; leading standard implementation approaches; conducting or leading analysis on workflows and system tailoring needs; assessing & recommending upgrade needs; and overall coordination of team activities. 
3.    Provide deep application understanding and display excellent verbal and written communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude in defining and supporting appropriate technology uses for clinical areas. 
4.    Work closely with a variety of other program teams to conduct high-quality, high-service planning, implementation, and support of information systems for department end users. 
5.    Apply a high-level project management ideology/methodology to develop, manage, and execute project plans and is expected to have a high level of technical and functional competency on the assigned information systems, as well as a thorough understanding of hospital operations in assigned areas.  
6.    Work with leadership to establish priorities for the EHR billing module, assisting other systems analysts in implementing EHR updates and establishing EHR best practices and procedures. 
7.    Review release notes from EHR for optimization opportunities to improve hospital billing functionality and processes. 
8.    Serve as the “go-to” analyst for review and resolution of complex build issues within the application team along with being the point person in completing workflow analysis with our operational partners. 
9.    Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely technology support and problem resolution to internal and external customers. 
10.    Resolve complex and everyday service requests relating to software problems and malfunctions; interact and consult with users to manage user satisfaction; provide guidance, assistance, and follow-up on user inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:    Associate’s Degree preferred. In the absence of an Associate’s Degree preferably in the business or finance field, an additional four (5) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience above the five (5) identified below are required.
Licensure, Certification & Registration:    Certification in Charge Description Master
Experience:    Minimum five (5) years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle such as Patient Accounting, Patient Access, Charge Capture, and Patient Financial Services at both the functional and technical levels. Revenue Cycle experience in a healthcare environment with IT systems and systems development projects.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
•    Hands-on experience with EHR Billing in a real-time environment with Claims. Demonstrated expert knowledge of HB Rule, HB Work Queues, HB Billing Indicators, Statement Process, Letters – Insurance/Self Pay follow up and Payment/Adjustment posting.
•    A high level of professionalism is required for this individual to coordinate and interact with the patient business services staff utilizing the EHR applications daily.
•    Must demonstrate ability to lead projects from inception to completion with little management supervision and assist other team members in learning these skills. Project management skills including the ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, and manage project plans. Demonstrate broad-based experience with generally known project management software.
•    Detail orientation and a knack for probing for information to fully understand the underlying needs that influence how the system should be configured
•    Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
•    High-functioning team skills, including active listening, rapport building, effective written and verbal communication, and receiving and delegating work assignments.
•    Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities.

Pay Range:

$24.50 – $32.50

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
