Job Summary: Oversees all areas of operations as a working lead in the materials department. Receives all product into the medical center via the inventory management system, appropriately document and direct delivery of all products and parcels. Acts as the front line customer service representative to all internal and external customers. Fills in for all employees’ job functions in the department as needed.<br><br>
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Receives all products coming into the medical center by physically inspecting packages and entering the needed information into the materials management information system (MMIS). Appropriately placards all product for clear delivery to over 1000 end users.
- Provides top level customer service to all internal and external customers in regards to supply requests, delivery requirements, problem resolution, and general information inquiries. Researches all undeliverable product to determine end user or disposition as instructed.
- Provides weekly analytics on department productivity, service failures, and quantitative data on number of lines orderd and delivered to the materials supervisor.
- Coaches and mentors fellow team members on proper inventory management techniques, customer service expectations, and safety protocols within materials management under the direction of the materials supervisor.
- Assures all storeroom procedures are followed including stock putaway, cycle counting, and stock issuance. Provide weekly reports to the materials supervisor on stock levels.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Logistics preferred.
- 3-5 years related work experience required.
- Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to operate motorized material handling equipment.

- Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Physical Nature of the Job:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
Pay Range:
$19.76 – $26.59
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
