The Posse Internship Program is designed to give interested Scholars broad exposure to the clinical and operational workings of our healthcare organization. This learning opportunity is intended for exceptional students demonstrating high potential. Successful interns demonstrate the ability to absorb and assimilate an extraordinary amount of new knowledge in a very short amount of time.
Interns will be provided with strong mentorship opportunities from leaders across the organization.
Essential Functions:
• Shadows preceptor in the clinic and in the operating room, gaining significant clinical
knowledge and understanding of clinical operations
• Participates in specific projects assigned by leaders that meet the needs of the department
• Completes various training and certifications, including Stop the Bleed and Basic Life Support
• Participates in weekly "Meet & Greet" sessions with hospital leaders, furthering career
exploration and professional development
• Maintains current knowledge of emerging healthcare challenges facing hospitals and healthcare
systems nationally
Interns meet regularly with their preceptor to discuss their progress. In addition, interns meet regularly with
each other and other preceptors to share information about their projects and hot topics in healthcare.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: N/A
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
Experience: 0-1 years related work experience required.
Pay Range:
$15.00 – $18.00
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
