Job Description:

Join a dedicated team at Northeast Endocrinology and Diabetes (NEED). We are seeking a motivated, experienced Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA) to provide high-quality outpatient care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Location & Schedule

  • Primary Base: Newburyport, MA (Outpatient Clinic)

  • Satellite Site: Occasional hours in Haverhill, MA

  • Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

  • Patient Care: 35 hours per week (Avg. 14–16 patients per day)

Role Overview:

Working alongside a supervising MD and an experienced NP, you will manage a diverse adult population (18+). This role offers a high degree of autonomy while maintaining a strong collaborative link with the physician for complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialized Care: Diagnose and manage Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes, as well as thyroid and bone disorders.

  • Tech-Forward Treatment: Provide education and management for CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring), Insulin Pumps, InPen, and V-Go devices.

  • Clinical Management: Initiate and titrate insulin (including Humulin R U-500) and manage related conditions like hyperlipidemia and neuropathy pain.

  • Collaborative Practice: Accept referrals, consult with primary care/specialties, and precept NP students.

  • Documentation: Utilize EPIC EMR for efficient patient tracking and results communication.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Master’s in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.

  • Licensure: Current, valid license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Certifications:

    • National Board Certification (NP or PA)

    • DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR)

    • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to lift/assist patients as required in a clinical setting.

Pay Range:

$105,000.00 USD – $170,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
