Job Description:
Position Overview
As the Unit-Based Nurse Educator, you will partner closely with:
· Nursing leadership
· Physicians
· Interdisciplinary teams
You will support:
· Unit orientation
· Ongoing education and competencies
· Quality and compliance initiatives
You will also serve as a trusted clinical resource for frontline staff.
What You’ll Do
· Lead orientation for new Cardiac ICU/CCU nurses
· Coordinate annual education and regulatory requirements
· Deliver training on advanced cardiac technologies including:
o Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
o Impella devices
o Mechanical circulatory support
· Support competency validation and clinical skill development
· Collaborate on quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
· Promote a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence
· Provide flexibility for occasional nights and weekends to meet unit needs
What You’ll Need
Required:
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
· Active Registered Nurse license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
· Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
· Minimum of 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience
Preferred:
· 1–3 years of experience in education, training, or staff development
Technical expertise:
· Advanced cardiac technologies, including:
o Balloon Pumps
o Impella
o IABP

Pay Range:
$38.11 – $98.23
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
