The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Executive Director, Contract Finance. This position provides key support and analyses related to financial aspects of BILH & BILHPN Managed Care Contracts and relationships. This includes Hospitals, Physicians, Behavioral Health, Home Care/Hospice and other provider types as well as Value Based Contract terms. It requires business knowledge with specialized technical and analytical skills. The analyst works closely with Contracting and Revenue Finance internally, as well as externally with the Contracting & Provider Relations staff of the Managed Care Plans.
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Performs analyses and reporting in support of managed care contract financial terms
2. Maintains fee schedule database, both Professional and Outpatient Technical
3. Develops and maintains contract profiles containing comparative information on each contract’s financial terms and key
provisions
4. Performs ad hoc financial analyses of managed care contracts and rate structures

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Health Care Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent education or experience.
Licensure, Certification & Registration: na
Experience: One to three years working for health plan and/or provider. Working knowledge of financial terms of managed care contracts Working knowledge of managed care reimbursement methodologies Worked with large medical claims databases (both professional and technical) Experience with integrated billing systems (EPIC) or other.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Excellent analytic, verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and dynamic individual with the ability to think creatively and work independently Ability to manage multiple priorities Familiarity with Hospital and Professional provider payment methodologies Ability to summarize and present results of analyses clearly and concisely to management Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Access

Pay Range:
$60,320.00 USD – $81,432.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
