Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises opening &/or closing of Food & Nutrition Services Department; replaces absent personnel as appropriate.Supervises patient and cafeteria meal delivery & service.Ensures menus are ready for patient food service and oversees meal delivery.Organizes diet office.  Ensures proper flow of information to proper personnel.Interacts with Clinical Dietitians regarding confidential patient information.Utilizes computer programs appropriate to meal service, such as CBORD, Meditech, and hand-held meal tracking devices.Tallies menu items for production.Interacts with Cooks & Tray Line staff to ensure timely meal production & delivery.Oversees daily tray retrieval & clean up, pantry deliveries, cafeteria operations.Handles cash & runs daily cash register reports.Enters daily tallies into software production for record keeping. 

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required

Minimum two (2) years food service experience in a healthcare setting.Strong knowledge of nutrition & diet therapy as evidenced by education &/or work experience.Previous supervisory experience required.Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) 

Education Required

Must be able to read, write English at 12th grade level.Nutrition Education/Supervision coursework preferred.

Registration/Certification

Must be Serv-Safe certified within six (6) months of employment.

Pay Range:

$18.81 – $33.00

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
