Description:    
The Administrative Assistant will plan, oversee & organize daily operations in busy orthopedic practice @ 830 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, MA.

  • Under the direction of the physician, Manager, and/or Director, support day-to-day front desk operations for the physician practice. 
  • Provide phone support, to perform initial intake, collecting patient insurance data, and demographics. Enter all required data into electronic health records, ensuring meaningful use and managed care, and quality requirements are being met.
  • Provide medical and surgical office front desk support, collecting co-pays, obtaining all necessary patient signatures, and scanning insurance cards and driver’s licenses into electronic health records.
  • Perform surgical, consultation, and ancillary testing scheduling for the surgeon and Physician Assistant.
  • Verify patients' insurance eligibility and ensure all necessary referrals/pre-certifications and records are in place by the time of visit. 
  • Prepare the next day’s paperwork and schedules. Confirm provider schedules and adjust as needed
  • Assist with mail pick-up and delivery.  Separate, distribute and scan mail.
  • Prepare and submit office billing in a timely manner.
  • Enter orders in EMR as needed 
  • Other duties and special projects, as identified and assigned.

 

 

Pay Range:

$21.53 – $28.97

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
