Job Description:

Join our rapidly expanding, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. We are seeking a dedicated NP or PA to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where quality, safety, and innovation are our top priorities.

The Role at a Glance

  • Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

  • Setting: Inpatient Stroke Service with Integrated Outpatient Training

  • Team: Work alongside 6 stroke physicians, 5 neuro-intensivists, and a robust team of 12 APPs.

What Sets This Position Apart?

  • Dynamic Split: 1/3 of your time is dedicated to outpatient training (General Neurology, Headache, Cognitive and Stroke follow-ups).

  • Procedural Training: Gain expertise in Lumbar Punctures, Botox administration, skin biopsies and Nerve Blocks.

  • Collaboration: Integrated daily workflow with Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, and Vascular Surgery.

  • Academic Growth: Optional opportunities for research and teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Management: Admit, round on, and discharge patients with ischemic stroke, ICH, and cerebrovascular disorders.

  • Clinical Decision Making: Lead initial evaluations and implement diagnostic/therapeutic plans. Lead and manage stroke codes.

  • Data Interpretation: Analyze labs, imaging, and physiologic data to optimize care.

  • Coordination: Act as the primary APP lead under physician guidance, ensuring seamless clinical documentation and discharge planning.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.

  • Licensure: Current NP/PA certification and Massachusetts state license.

  • Credentials: Valid DEA and MCSR.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function semi-autonomously with high-acuity patients.

Pay Range:

$133,120.00 USD – $215,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
