Reporting to the CNO, SVP of Patient Care Services and a member of the Nursing Administrative team the ACNO will be responsible to lead and support the Nursing Directors and Nurse Specialists for the inpatient medical units. The ACNO is also responsible for the development and performance of the nursing teams within the assigned areas. This also includes accountability for ongoing management of resources, participating in budgeting processes, and for improvements in quality and safety.

Provides professional leadership and acts as a member of the PCS and MC Administrative team. Supports the guidelines for the delivery of nursing care, treatment and services. Manages resources and participates in the annual budgeting process within the Nursing Department, ensures effective allocation of resources for patient care. Works with Nurse Managers to meet organizational financial goals, and implements mid-course adjustments as needed based on changes in volume and reimbursement expectations.

Ensures continuous compliance with all regulatory bodies, including but not limited to The Joint Commission, CMS and Department of Public Health.

Has the responsibility to lead and support managers and directors in developing and improving operations to create optimal performance levels. Direct Reports: More than 7 Indirect Reports: 21-50

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Finance or Hospital Administration required. Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice or PhD in Business Admin, Healthcare Finance or Hospital Admin preferred.

More than 10 years related work experience required and 5-8 years supervisory/management experience required

At least five years of progressive nursing leadership experience.

Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Physical Nature of the Job:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus

 

 

Pay Range:

$250,000.00 USD – $300,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
