The service line provides for organizational, strategic, operations and financial alignment regardless of where cardiovascular services are delivered.

Job Description:

The Director will provide leadership and guidance to the CVSL to assist the program in meeting its short-term and long-term goals and continuing to operate and improve financial and quality performance.

  • Represent the CVSL and liaises with leaders from other clinical and non-clinical disciplines in efforts to further the mission, vision and goals of the CVSL.
  • Provide operational and administrative insight and navigation to assist the CVSL in meeting defined standards, such as investment decisions, budget targets, patient and employee satisfaction, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the operations and performance improvement efforts of non-invasive testing at three locations and the Cardiovascular Suite at Beverly Hospital.
  • Works collaboratively in a matrixed leadership structure.
  • Participate in appropriate system-wide and hospital-wide quality, safety and/or efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate leadership in strategies focused on the development and growth of the CVSL (e.g., marketing and physician outreach).
  • Provide leadership to the CVSL provider group, resolving conflicts and campaigning to create inter-collegial relationships among the provider peers.

Works in tandem with the Medical Director. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implementation of cardiovascular patient care protocols and pathways, ensuring the availability of the necessary analytics, tools and resources.
  • Preparation of the agenda and facilitation of interdisciplinary committees.
  • Presentation of the CVSL performance dashboard and relevant information to local and system leaders.
  • Designs a CVSL performance improvement dashboard and other operational and outcome reports to inform and support CVSL performance
  • Completes an annual operating budget for the CVSL, inclusive of business case(s) for incremental investment(s).

Candidate qualifications:

  • Strong relationship development skills, good diplomatic skills and a view of the entire organization's structure and responsibilities. This role will serve to bridge physician-hospital relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze quality, financial and operational data to identify weaknesses and create strategies for improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to think long-term, analyze data and information, and then strategically use that data to drive change to support the strategic direction of the CVSL.
  • Ability to “think outside the box”, collaborate and problem-solve not only with physicians and other team members within BH/AGH, but also with physicians, clinicians and community members across BILH and outside the system to help manage patients across the care continuum (e.g., primary care and post-acute providers).
  • Health system management experience in organizations comprised of academic and community healthcare institutions and provider practices.
  • Strong operational and technical skills relative to cardiovascular services and patient care.
  • Five years of progressive experience in leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred.

 

 

Pay Range:

$185,000.00 USD – $200,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
