Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1) Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. Assigns staff to project work, and monitors' progress.
2) Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes appropriate corrective action.
3) Conducts one Quality Assurance inspection per day and takes action to correct any issues quickly.
4) Using the pc-based Bed Tracking system, enters daily schedule changes, makes corrections, monitors Housekeeper activity, and
makes adjustments as needed.
5) Coordinates work activities among departments.
6) Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate safe and effective
use and maintenance of equipment.
7) Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
8) Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
9) Ensures that timecards are filled out completely and turned in Payroll on time.
10) Completes all tasks assigned by the department Manager/Director in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.
11) Responsible for fulfilling aspects of the HR Function for the department, including Performance Appraisals, Competency
Assessment, Recruitment, Employee Relations, and training and development activities.
12) Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.
13) Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies.
14) Complies with behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic.
15) Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
16) Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
17) Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer
Service standards.
18) Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
19) Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.
20) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Not applicable
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Working knowledge of all environmental services, equipment, and techniques. Thoroughly knowledgeable as to safe and proper housekeeping techniques and supervisory skills. PC skills; communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to be thoroughly trained to meet organizational standards.
Experience: 1-2 years Lead or Supervisory experience. Minimum 2 years experience working in Environmental Services or a related field.

 

 

Pay Range:

$23.00 – $30.95

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
