Medical Breast/GI Oncologist (BC/BE) 

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center | Burlington & Peabody, MA 

The Opportunity 

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at LHMC is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist specializing in Breast and Gastrointestinal Cancer. Join a world-renowned tertiary medical center and a leading-edge research hub within the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system. 

Practice Highlights 

  • Dual-Site Focus: Based at LHMC Burlington and the free-standing Cancer Center at Lahey Medical Center Peabody. 

  • Expert Status: Serve as a regional expert in breast and GI cancers within the BILH Cancer Network. 

  • Work-Life Balance: Infrequent night and weekend call expectations. 

  • Support System: Access to excellent administrative support and dedicated nurse navigation. 

  • Technology: State-of-the-art infusion, radiation oncology, genetics, and in-house next-generation sequencing (NGS)

Academic & Research Leadership 

  • Teaching: Faculty role training UMass-Chan medical students and LHMC internal medicine residents. 

  • Fellowship: Serve as a Core Faculty Member for the new LHMC Hematology-Oncology fellowship program. 

  • Research: LHMC is a main member of SWOG and NRG, maintaining a robust clinical research program. 

  • Appointment: Opportunity for academic appointment at UMass-Chan School of Medicine commensurate with experience.

Qualifications 

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Medical Oncology. 

  • Subspecialty focus/interest in Breast and GI Oncology

Pay Range:

$350,000.00 USD – $450,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
