As a Nurse Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping clinical practice, optimizing operations, and leading a talented, mission‑driven nursing team. What You’ll Do
Lead Clinical Excellence
- Champion evidence‑based practice and ensure alignment with Nursing Practice Guidelines.
- Inspire and support staff participation in shared governance, professional development, certification, and nursing research.
- Maintain deep knowledge of emerging clinical trends to elevate care delivery.
Advance System Coordination & Collaboration
- Translate departmental goals into actionable work aligned with LHMC’s mission.
- Use data-driven insights to guide daily operations and process improvements.
- Build strong cross-department relationships to enhance communication, workflow, and patient experience.
Drive Quality & Innovation
- Anticipate future needs and proactively shape plans that elevate patient outcomes.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to address regulatory standards, patient satisfaction, and quality metrics including NDNQI indicators and Core Measures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Empower and Develop Your Team
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a highly engaged and high-performing nursing workforce.
- Conduct meaningful performance reviews and support individualized growth plans.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field strongly preferred to support advanced leadership and understanding of nursing services.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Strong clinical competency and expertise within the relevant nursing specialty.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, leadership presence, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and comfort using electronic systems.
Experience
- At least five years of progressive inpatient nursing experience.
- Minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience demonstrating the ability to guide teams, manage performance, and support clinical operations.
Pay Range:
$165,000.00 USD – $215,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
