This role provides direct patient care in both ambulatory and/or inpatient settings for patients with complex medical or surgical needs. The clinician collaborates closely with faculty, fellows, residents, and nursing staff to create and coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients and their families.
Please note: This is an off‑site position and is not based in Boston. Some off‑hours, weekend, and on‑call coverage may be required.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
- Perform history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient care plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Provide clear education and support to patients and their families.
- Deliver care and management for all patients receiving opioid treatment.
Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care across the care continuum.
- Serve as a liaison among visiting nurses, clinical teams, and consulting services.
- Consult with physicians or surgeons for patients with complex diagnoses.
- Ensure care plans are cohesive across the service, creating a unified approach to care.
Documentation
- Document clinical encounters clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Education & Leadership
- Act as an educator and clinical resource for staff.
- Provide both formal and informal clinical teaching.
- Participate in literature review, seminars, and conferences.
- Model strong interdisciplinary collaboration across all care teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree required in Nursing. Master's degree preferred.
- License required: Nursing License, and Certificate 1 required: Basic Life Support
- 0-1 years related work experience required.
- MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG
- Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
- American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate
- Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise.
- Experience in Pain Management preferred.
Pay Range:
$133,120.00 USD – $220,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
