Provides critical operational support and maintenance of BILH’s 340B Programs and associated Inventory Systems. This position may require collaboration at any time with various BILH Departments, Contract Pharmacies, Third Party Administrators, Drug Wholesalers, Manufacturers, or other teams, as needed, as they relate to the health and maintenance of BILH’s 340B programs. This position requires the ability to navigate an EMR (electronic medical record) and various other third-party portal systems in support of 340B operations.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:
 

1. Append appropriate 340B billing modifiers to all applicable claims for resubmission to payer.

2. Navigate 340B claim resubmission rejections with payer and escalate rejected claims when applicable.

3. Submit orders for drug replenishments where applicable within the 340B Program.

4. Coordinate with hospital buyers, when necessary, in accordance with 340B compliance and savings.

5. Maintain virtual balance of 340B inventories and escalate overage/underage when applicable for resolution. Maintain accumulators and charge code modifiers for hospital 340B administered drugs.

6. Work with wholesalers and manufacturers to verify 340B pricing and address pricing barriers and/or discrepancies. Identify eligible 340B Program volume through claim and dispensation review.

7. Maintain up-to-date and accurate databases for, but not limited to, drug cost, utilization, and NDCs.

8. Generate 340B related reports as necessary for team, finance, and leadership.

9. Participate in all 340B Program audits and ensure subsequent remediation of findings with leadership. Pursue continued education via resources such as, but not limited to, Apexus and 340B Health.

10. Identify and implement improvements to the 340B program and inventory systems under the direction of the 340B Director.

11. Execute operations as instructed for all assigned areas of 340B Program.

12. Perform other duties as needed by the department not limited to the above position description or responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience considered. • License Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech required

. • 2 – 5 years related work experience required in Pharmacy.

• 1-2 years of 340B Program Experience in both Split Billing and Contract Pharmacy Advanced skill with Microsoft applications, which include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases. •

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pharmacy technician experience, pharmacy purchasing or supply chain experience in a hospital or clinic.

• 2 years of 340B Program Experience at a DSH Hospital

• Exceptional Microsoft applications knowledge, proficient in math, pharmacy calculations and use of excel formulas. Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. •

• Exceptional knowledge of 340B program regulatory and billing/coding compliance, project management.

 

 

Pay Range:

$62,400.00 USD – $89,440.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
