Our 120,000 square foot facility in Westwood, MA, provides state of the art pharmacy services to our systems’ patients and employees. We specialize in patient-centered care, adherence packaging, specialty drug services, mail order services, prior authorizations processing, and patient counseling. We are seeking highly motivated energetic and experienced pharmacy technicians to help with the fulfillment of prescriptions on the automation line. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service and become the pharmacy of choice for all our patients and employees. The Pharmacy Inventory and Logistics Lead assists BILH Pharmacies with all aspects of procurement and inventory management.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

1.    Partner with the Inventory Supervisor to coordinate workloads, prioritize tasks, and drive implementation of process improvements and operational initiatives.
2.    Provide daily leadership and hands-on supervision to the inventory and logistics team, ensuring smooth, accurate, and consistent execution of workflows across all BILH pharmacy sites.
3.    Act as the primary point of escalation for operational issues, quickly resolving challenges and supporting the team through peak volumes, system disruptions, or staffing shortages.
4.    Manage the receiving, separation, and processing of drug inventory across all channels with a focus on precision and timeliness, supporting seamless operations and eliminating potential discrepancies or delays.
5.    Actively monitor PAR levels, manage below-PAR queues, and proactively place supplemental orders to maintain optimal inventory and prevent stock outs or excess.
6.    Validate NDC pricing accuracy across 340B, GPO, OWN sources. Guide medication routing to the appropriate compliant, cost-effective channel to support uninterrupted order fulfillment.
7.    Deliver training, coaching, and on-the-job guidance to staff to promote standardized processes, build competency, and ensure full compliance with policies and procedures.
8.    Lead cycle count programs, investigate discrepancies, and follow through on corrective actions to maintain high inventory accuracy.
9.    Contribute to operational excellence by participating in quality initiatives, cross-site projects, growth efforts, and system transitions as assigned.
10.    Perform additional duties as directed by the Inventory Supervisor or pharmacy leadership.

Required Qualifications:

1.    High School diploma or GED required.

2.    Registered Pharmacy Technician

3.    3+ years related work experience required.

4.    Experience with computer systems require d, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word , Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.    340B experience.

2.    Inventory, shipping & delivery, and/or Rx fulfillment experience.

3.    Previous pharmacy work experience in high volume store.

4.    National Pharmacy Technician Certification

5.    Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients , families and external customers.

6.    Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.

7.    Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues , and respecting team members.

8.    Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visito rs, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Social/Environmental Requirements:

1.    Work requires close attention to task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.

2.    Work routine is fairly consistent, but employee needs to be able to use judgment to respond to events several times a week.

3.    No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions

4.    Health Care Status: HCW 3: Regular provision of service in a patient care area. Examples: Unit coordinators , lead coordinator /supervisor, patient liaison, nutrition services, environmental services, registrars, information desks, security, etc- Health Care Worker Status may vary by department

Sensory Requirements:

Close work (paperwork, visual examination), Monitor Use, Visual clarity feet, Conversation, Telephone, Background Noise.

Physical Requirements:

Light work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus. This job requires constant sitting,frequent Keyboard use.
 

 

 

Pay Range:

$32.54 – $44.07

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
