Job Description:
Contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing a comprehensive patient evaluation and establishing a working diagnosis to develop an appropriate treatment plan. This clinical staff professional will have an impact on patient care and patient satisfaction by skillfully treating patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses in an empathetic and encouraging manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Successful completion of all clinical affiliations and certificate requirements for an APTA accredited physical therapy program
Preferred: DPT degree
Experience:
Required: Clinical experience in an outpatient setting
Preferred: At least two months as an outpatient physical therapist in orthopedics. Previous outpatient exposure as an aide or on clinical affiliation, manual therapy and workers compensation
Other Skills/Knowledge:
Required:
- Clinical experience in the kinds of PT issues required for the patients Winchester Hospital serves for the specialty being hired
- Good writing skills and basic computer skills for report writing.
- For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
Pediatric: Principles of pediatric physical therapy theory such as neuromuscular development, sensory integration, and growth and development, fine and gross motor coordination
Preferred:
- Manual Therapy training, Outpatient Neuro or Vestibular training
- Experience generating opportunities for new services in pediatric therapy
- Community outreach experience
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: Massachusetts Physical Therapy License
Pay Range:
$38.50 – $53.91
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
