The Senior Analyst, ERP (Workday) Applications – Grants & Payroll is responsible for optimizing, enhancing, and supporting Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Workday ERP environment with a primary focus on Grants and Payroll. Leveraging deep expertise in grants, financial & payroll knowledge, the Senior Analyst will research, recommend, and influence best practice solutions, integrations, and business processes to deliver scalable, efficient solutions. In this highly collaborative and strategic role, you will partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT leadership to ensure Workday functionality aligns with organizational goals and drives operational excellence. You are a key contributor to shaping a modern, AI-driven ERP landscape. This role leads with an automation-first mindset, actively identifying opportunities to integrate AI, machine learning, and intelligent workflow automation into research and financial processes to reduce manual effort, streamline operations, and accelerate decision-making across the organization
You will lead system enhancements and configuration, support integrations/punchouts, troubleshoot complex issues, and help shape the ERP roadmap. The Senior Analyst also supports system upgrades and mentors junior analysts to ensure delivery of scalable, efficient solutions. Through strong technical acumen and continuous innovation, the Senior Analyst ensures system stability, operational excellence, and an elevated user experience.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
1. Proactively identify opportunities and recommend direction for process improvement by better leveraging delivered ERP functionality; lead, design, and conduct pilots and other proof of concept activities and effectively obtain buy-in for recommended configurations (essential).
2. Research and evaluate alternative solutions for new modules or functional processes to meet changing business demands, and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solutions to key stakeholders and the ERP staff.
3. Meet frequently with business stakeholders and vendors as a key IT representative promoting these relationships, to continually review key objectives, discuss project pipeline, and build consensus around prioritization of work requests; attend and when required lead project status meetings to review progress and present issues that may affect delivery schedules; help manage expectations, timelines, and deliverables (essential)
4. Ensure that all requests follow the change management process and have a clearly articulated business case (i.e. problem definition, viable options, cost/benefit/risk analysis, etc.). Provide guidance and leadership related to these key ITSM procedures.
5. Facilitate and lead sessions to gather and document requirements (functional and technical), identify current business process challenges, and perform fit/gap assessment with the delivered applications. Compile process flows, functional design specifications, test plans, and training materials (essential)
6. Perform, design, lead, and support functional unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (essential). Lead ERP application upgrades and new module functionality implementations.
7. Provide production support; investigate and troubleshoot system issues in respective domain (FSM, HCM, SCM); identify root causes; determine and document solutions (essential). Ensure on-going maintenance of the ERP Applications in a timely manner.
8. Lead the ERP deliverables when representing IT on projects in respective domain (FSM, SCM, HCM). Including the development and implementation of communication plans for ERP projects using various media to keep stakeholders informed of upcoming system changes and enhancements. Mentor junior team project members in this process.
9. Maintain strict adherence to the BILH Confidentiality policy and all BILH policies. Compile process flows, functional design specifications, test plans, and training materials.
10. Perform and support functional unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing . Support ERP application upgrades and new module functionality implementations. Incorporate BILH Standards of Behavior and Guiding Principles into daily activities.
11. Comply with behavioral expectations of the department and BILH and maintain courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients. Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field. Master's Degree Preferred.
2. 5 – 10 years related work experience required; 5+ years experience with progressive responsibility implementing, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting ERP applications in specific domain (HCM, FSM, SCM). Experience with several large scale, full cycle implementations.
3. Workday ERP functional domain knowledge and configuration experience in at least 2-3 modules (essential)
Pay Range:
$95,000.00 USD – $135,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
