It serves as the hub for outpatient care, clinical services, and administrative offices, with multiple interconnected buildings linked by the “Blue Corridor.” The campus is also home to the Harvard–Thorndike Clinical Research Laboratory, the oldest clinical research lab in the U.S., and provides access to over 1,100 physicians across 110 specialties—making it a key center for patient care, research, and education within the BIDMC system.
The West Campus of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, located at 1 Deaconess Road in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, is the hospital’s main hub for inpatient care, emergency services, and critical clinical departments. Anchored by the Rosenberg, Farr, and Klarman buildings, the campus recently expanded with a 10-story inpatient tower featuring 128 medical-surgical beds, 30 ICU beds, advanced perioperative facilities, a radiology suite, and a rooftop helipad.
