Job Description:

Nurse Manager – Endoscopy & Pain Center

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations, clinical excellence, and patient‑centered culture of our Endoscopy and Pain Center units. This role is ideal for a collaborative, forward‑thinking leader who is passionate about staff development, operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Overview

The Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, high‑quality care across the procedural environment. This leader champions our mission, values, and service standards while cultivating a supportive and accountable team culture. The Nurse Manager partners closely with interdisciplinary teams, guides clinical practice, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that elevate both patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Department Operations

  • Promotes and models the philosophy, mission, goals, and objectives of the institution and the nursing department.
  • Oversees the daily operations and workflow of the Procedural Services unit.
  • Coordinates and integrates patient care services across departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures, and best practices that support high‑quality patient care.
  • Leads regulatory and accreditation preparedness to maintain excellence and compliance.

Staff Management & Development

  • Oversees all human resource activities including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Ensures competent, qualified, and appropriately staffed clinical teams at all times.
  • Assesses staff competence and participates in designing orientation, in‑service training, and ongoing educational programs in collaboration with Staff Education.
  • Prepares and manages staff scheduling, including daily Kronos Time and Attendance oversight.

Quality, Safety & Patient Experience

  • Encourages a culture of continuous quality improvement and actively participates in performance assessment initiatives.
  • Maintains quality control programs and monitors key clinical indicators to drive excellence in care delivery.
  • Champions service‑excellence strategies to enhance the patient and family experience.
  • Supports strategic planning for new services, space needs, and resources for multiple departments.

Financial & Business Responsibilities

  • Develops, manages, and monitors the unit’s salary and operational budgets.
  • Participates in equipment selection and maintains familiarity with manufacturer‑recommended use.
  • Demonstrates understanding of business operations including billing processes and expense management.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 3–5 years of recent Procedural Services nursing experience.
  • 3–5 years of recent leadership experience (charge nurse, clinical leader, or comparable role).
  • Prior management experience in a similar clinical environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead through influence, motivate teams, and promote a culture of accountability.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s degree strongly encouraged

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Specialty certification preferred

Pay Range:

$125,000.00 USD – $188,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
