After working as a mammography technologist in Turkey, I moved to the United States to continue my career. I joined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as a Radiology Technologist following my internship here, and was inspired by the supportive, patient-focused, and team-oriented environment where everyone welcomed and encouraged my growth. Mammography can be stressful, so providing reassurance and compassionate care is deeply meaningful to me. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center supported my journey into mammography and continues to foster a culture where learning, mentorship, and patient care are truly valued.

What I love most about the OR is the teamwork that is required to do cases. Everyone has an important role, and without one of them, we cannot do the cases. On our CVI team, we have such an amazing group where we have lots of support, whether it’s from each other, or our clinical advisors. What I also love about the OR at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is that as a nurse, you have the opportunity to be the circulator or scrub, so it gives you a lot of variety in your week. One day you could be scrubbed into a CABG and the other day circulating in an open AAA repair. Being part of the CVI OR is special. There’s no better feeling than seeing a difficult emergency end well and knowing your team helped save someone’s life!

My journey at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center began in 2013 through the Medical Assistant Internship Program. When I decided to challenge myself further, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center supported my transition to becoming a Radiologic Technologist through tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and mentorship. Most recently, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center encouraged my pursuit of CT certification, once again demonstrating their commitment to my career growth. To anyone considering a career at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or at any of the Beth Israel Lahey Health locations, know this is an organization that values and develops its people and is a place where hard work and a willingness to learn lead to endless opportunities and meaningful impact.
