 Geriatric Medicine Physician 

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) Burlington, MA, United States  

✨ The Opportunity 

The Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a board certified/eligible Geriatric Medicine Physician to help develop and lead an inpatient geriatrics consultation service. 

This role is key to our clinical, educational, and quality improvement missions. 

🏥 What You Will Do 

  • Assist with developing an inpatient geriatric consultation service within Lahey’s academic medical center. 

  • Provide consultation services as part of interdisciplinary care. 

  • Support LHMC’s plans to become an Age-Friendly Health System 

  • Teach geriatric care principles to interdisciplinary professional learners, including medical students and residents 

  • Commit to promoting quality care transitions

🎓 Program & Educational Focus 

  • LHMC is affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School

  • Professional Development: We support candidates' interests with available clinical, educational, and academic opportunities. 

  • Preferred: Interest and experience in program development

  • Academic Appointment: Opportunity for an academic appointment with the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine (commensurate with achievement). 

✅ Qualifications & Requirements 

Candidates must meet the following: 

  • Completed Geriatric Medicine Fellowship training by hire date or demonstrate comparable experience. 

  • Board certified/eligible in Geriatric Medicine. 

  • Demonstrate passion for clinical geriatrics.

Pay Range:

$220,000.00 USD – $240,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
