Job Description:
The Center for Healthy Aging provides experienced compassionate care for seniors aged 65 and over. The Center is a multi-disciplinary, outpatient clinic providing both geriatric medicine consults and geriatric behavioral health.
The Center for Healthy Aging is searching for a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team, primarily based at the Lahey Outpatient Center in Danvers with coverage as needed at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester. The team includes a geriatrician, geriatric psychiatrist, adult psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers (LICSW), and clinical support team. The candidate will report to the medical director/ geriatric psychiatrist for clinical supervision; and will report to the Administrative Director for non-clinical issues. Ideal candidate has some experience with issues of aging and in geriatric medicine and geriatric syndromes including different forms of dementia.
What you will do:

Provide direct geriatric patient mental health care services including comprehensive geriatric psych evaluations and psychopharm management.

Diagnosis, treatment and medication management for treatment of patients with behavioral health issues and comorbid issues including dementia.

Teaching patients and their caregivers how to manage illnesses and provide supportive care.

Must be comfortable and enjoy working with behavioral health patients and the geriatric population and be a team player.

Work closely with the LICSW team who do the initial behavioral health intakes and are often following patients in individual therapy.
Education:

Graduate of a Master’s Program in Nursing

Physician Assistant program
Certification/License:

Current NP or PA license in the state of Massachusetts
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Pay Range:
$85,332.00 USD – $116,064.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
