Jake Salley, PT, DPT – Physical Therapist IV

Name: Jake Salley, PT, DPT

Entity: Lahey Hospital & Medical Center

Title: Physical Therapist IV

My career with Lahey Rehabilitation Services has come full circle. Seventeen years ago, while completing my graduate studies at MGHIHP, I began my first full-time clinical rotation at Lahey Danvers Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. I received exceptional instruction and was treated as a true learner, not simply an extra set of hands. It was clear from the start that Lahey valued clinical education, and I remain grateful for that foundational experience.

Two years later, after earning my DPT and passing the boards, Lahey Danvers was the first place I turned when seeking employment. Fortunately, a position had just opened, and the clinic manager was eager to support a new graduate. Nearly 15 years later, I am still here—thanks to a strong team environment, meaningful professional development, and consistent support for growth.

The past 15 years have gone by quickly, a testament to the positive culture within Lahey Physical Therapy. Our leadership is committed to team development, excellence in patient care, and collaboration across departments. In addition to prioritizing individualized and high-quality patient care, Lahey offers opportunities to engage in community programs, departmental initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects. The structured career development ladder has supported my progression from a new graduate to an experienced clinician involved in mentorship, education, community outreach, and leadership.

I can confidently say that now is an excellent time to join the Lahey PT team. Leadership is aligned, growth is prioritized, team energy is strong, and our patients deeply value the care we provide. Seventeen years after beginning my journey as a first-year graduate student, I now serve as the site director of clinical education—a true full-circle moment.

With gratitude,

Jake Salley, PT, DPT
