Job Description:

Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP)

Weekend-Anchored Inpatient Role | ~36 hrs/week | Lahey Clinic | Burlington, MA

About Us

  • Nationally recognized 345-bed tertiary care hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, just north of Boston, MA.

  • Busy orthopaedic service: trauma, arthroplasty, sports, hand, foot and ankle, and podiatry.

  • Collaborative, resident-supported team. Epic EMR. APP-friendly.

The Role

A weekend-anchored inpatient orthopaedic APP role: roughly 36 hours across three days a week, built around flexibility.

  • Saturday and Sunday are the heart of the role: full weekend days (up to 12 hours each, typically 6a to 6p) covering our orthopaedic floor alongside the on-call resident and attending.

  • Round out a roughly 36-hour week with one additional weekday, occasionally two. Friday or Monday tend to fit best, and we are flexible on which.

  • Spend your weekday time where your interests take you: the floor, ED, OR, or clinic.

Learn and Grow, We Will Teach You

  • A real growth pathway into ED consults and procedures (reductions, casting, laceration repair), OR first-assist, and clinic.

  • Direct, hands-on mentorship from our APs and academic surgeons who see teaching as part of the job.

  • Start on the floor day one and grow into whatever interests you, at your own pace.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program (AGACNP or ACNP ).

  • MA licensure or license-eligible. Current BLS or ACLS.

  • A firm, reliable commitment to covering both Saturday and Sunday.

  • Eager to learn. Experience welcome, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. We will train you.
