Job Description:

The Opportunity

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking an experienced NP or PA to join our collaborative team on a per-diem basis. We operate in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where quality, collegiality, and patient-centered caring come first.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Participate in daily rounds with attending cardiologists; develop and execute daily therapeutic plans.

  • Admissions & Documentation: Write H&Ps and orders for admissions (ED, procedural, outpatient, and transfers); complete daily progress notes.

  • Discharge Planning: Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning and author all discharge summaries.

  • Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary team contact for consult services, nursing, and ancillary staff.

  • Emergency & Clinical Skills: Manage emergency situations collaboratively with nursing and house staff; order/interpret labs, ECGs, and diagnostic testing.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.

  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts.

  • Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Soft Skills: Strong emotional intelligence, exceptional clinical assessment skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior clinical experience with Cardiology patients.

  • Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Pay Range:

$64.00 – $103.37

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
